The Stage Stop began as a two bay Service Station in 1953 and was named, "The Stage Stop Service Station".

Over the years the station has undergone many changes that has transformed it into the Stage Stop it is today.

The Stage Stop offers a wide variety of grocery items, your favorite beverages, some of your "over-the-counter" drug store needs, hardware items, auto supplies, and some camping gear. Forget the mantel for the lantern? We have them, along with small propane bottles to fuel that lantern.

With good fishing nearby, a variety of fishing supplies are offered, including worms!

Sumpter's summers are busy with travelers, from auto's traveling the Scenic Elkhorn Byway to ATV's. It is not unusual to see ATV's lined up at the pumps in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. Sumpter has many roads and trails just outside of town open to Recreational Vehicle use. Some of these same roads are groomed in the winter for snowmobiles.

Wild life abounds in and out of the town of Sumpter. You will see deer that live in and around Sumpter hanging out around the Stage Stop.

And remember, as always the Stage Stop has all your fuel needs. From premium and regular gas, propane, to diesel for on and off road. We can also repair that flat for you.
